Pognana Lario, 16 August the “Festival of dumplings”
One of the highlights of summer 2016 is certainly the Festival of dumplings Pognana Lario. On this occasion, as is the tradition every year on August 16, residents happily collaborate in the production of handmade potato gnocchi, then cooked on the spot in different recipes. The festival takes place at the church of San Rocco, in a truly picturesque setting that each year attracts thousands of people. Good food, good music, fun, fresh air and a priceless view, are the ingredients of a success that has lasted for decades thanks to the efforts of all the volunteers and the local Pro Loco.
From Pognana Castle you can reach the oratory of San Rocco in a few minutes, on foot, walking through the ancient stone alleys.
